The Vineyardist Calarcadia Vineyard is our flagship wine. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon produced from the finest blocks on the estate’s volcanic ridge. The wine offers the very essence of our Diamond Mountain estate, and is a powerful, rich, elegant expression of our terroir. The hallmark is the 90+ second layered finish and sweet refined tannins giving it a skyscraper texture.
“A powerhouse wine aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Calarcadia reveals blackcurrants, smoky tobacco, graphite, and a Haut-Brion-like scorched earth character. Full-bodied, dense, and thick, with a stacked mid-palate, building tannins,
and sensational finish, it’s a monster Diamond Mountain Cabernet that epitomizes this great appellation. It’s a more expansive, sexy wine compared to the more focused Heritage Ridge and is absolute perfection in this reviewer’s opinion. Drink 2028-2080.”

The Vineyardist Heritage Ridge Vineyard is sourced from a single parcel of Clone 191 Cabernet Sauvignon located behind the estate’s historic residence on Diamond Mountain. This unique terroir produces an alluring wine of extraordinary focus and elegance, a dramatically different expression from our Calarcadia, with insane purity and polished tannins yielding a wine with a powerful sense of place.
“From a smaller production of a single parcel Clone 191 Cabernet Sauvignon aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Ridge displays a vivid purple hue and sensational aromatics of red, blue, and black fruits, bouquet garni, graphite, crushed stone, and iron. It’s full-bodied, with a pure, focused mouthfeel, ripe, polished tannins, and integrated acidity. This is a dramatically different wine compared to the Calarcadia with its focused, insanely pure, elegant style, yet it’s still massively concentrated and powerful. It deserves a solid 5-7 years of bottle age and will keep for 50 years. Drink 2030-2080.”

The Vineyardist Notre Mystere is our proprietary Cabernet Franc-focused blend, co-fermented with select micro-blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon from Diamond Mountain. This co-fermented wine is an inviting marriage of Cabernet varietals that showcases deeply layered aromatics and the supple texture unique to our volcanic hillside estate.
“Based on 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon that were co-fermented and aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, the 2023 Notre Mystere offers a sensational nose of creme de cassis, crushed stone, and graphite, with background oak, lead pencil, and chocolate. It’s a rich, powerful, full-bodied beauty with ripe style, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. Don’t miss it. Drink 2027-2042.”

Only 50 cases produced. The Vineyardist 2023 Cabernet Franc is an ultra-limited expression from our Diamond Mountain estate, showcasing the full potential of this varietal grown on volcanic hillside soils in Calistoga, Napa Valley.
“Deep purple-hued, the 2023 Cabernet Franc shows classic Cabernet Franc notes of blue fruits, exotic black cherries, spring flowers, violets, and candied orange. Aged 22 months in 100% new French oak, it’s rich and medium to full-bodied, with a round, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and plenty of tannins. Give it a few years and drink over the following two decades. Drink 2027-2047.”

2024 Sauvignon Blanc
Founder’s Meadow Vineyard, Napa Valley
The Vineyardist Sauvignon Blanc is made from our Founder’s Meadow vineyard on Diamond Mountain. This wine is bright, airy and polished, showing limestone-like minerality that frames its engaging aromatics, a rare white wine expression from one of Napa Valley’s most celebrated mountain appellations.
Made in a ripe, exotic style and aged in one-third new oak, the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc offers exotic aromatics of honeyed pear, pineapple, tropical flowers, and spice notes from the barrel aging. It’s medium-bodied, pure, and focused, with terrific stony minerality on the finish.
